Baptism & Membership at King's Church Chessington
At King’s Church, we believe both baptism and church membership are vital steps in your journey with Jesus. Baptism is an outward expression of your personal faith, while membership is your commitment to belong to the church family, mission, and community. Though they are distinct steps, both play a key role in helping you grow, connect, and serve alongside us.
Ready to take a step?
Baptism is a public declaration of a personal faith in Jesus and a commitment to follow him. It involves being immersed in water, symbolising a new beginning and a time of celebration, that you’ve been welcomed into God’s family! Ready to get baptised / become a Member of King's Church? We’d love to hear from you here.

These are some of the common questions about baptism at King's Church.
There will be multiple people being baptised during the service and we tend to ask a few of them to come up on stage and share a bit about their journey to faith. There’s no pressure to do this, but it’s really encouraging to hear!
One of our pastors will be in the water to baptise you and we’ll make sure you have your towel to hand and a place to change into dry clothes. Baptism services are a special occasion and we can’t wait to celebrate with you!
Pastor Mike would love to share about how God’s grace has shaped our church over the years and why we love inviting people into an ever-growing relationship with King Jesus.
